Rosie O'Donnell lauds Canada's treatment of gays and lesbians

Rosie O'Donnell sailed into Halifax's historic port aboard a gay-friendly cruise ship Tuesday, and used the stop to bitterly condemn U.S. President George W. Bush and praise the Canadian government for its treatment of gays and lesbians.

The entertainer arrived with her wife, Kelli O'Donnell, and their four children on the Norwegian Dawn, saying she chose Halifax because of its beauty and acceptance of same-sex partners. The couple launched the unique cruise last year to give homosexuals the chance to vacation with their families without fear of harassment or reprisal.
